1.) Waqt-e-Fursat Hai Kahan, Kaam Abhi Baqi Hai
Noor-e-Touheed Ka Itmam Abhi Baqi Hai
This is no time for idle rest, Much yet remains undone;
The lamp of tawhid needs thy touch to make it shame the sun!
Raaz-E-Khudai Hai Ye, Keh Nahin Sakti Zuban
Dekhiye Iss Behar Ki Teh Se Uchalta Hai Kya
Gunbad-E-Nilofari Rang Badalta Hai Kya!
The same storm is raging today in the souls of Muslim, A Divine secret it is, Not for the lips to utter,
Let us see what surfaces from the depths of the deep. Let us see what color, The blue sky changes into.
3.) Auqabi Rooh Jab Baidar Hoti Hai Jawanon Mein
Nazar Ati Hai Iss Ko Apni Manzil Asmanon Mein
When an eagle’s spirit awakens in youthful hearts,
It sees its luminous goal beyond the starry heavens.
4.) Ghulami Mein Na Kaam Ati Hain Shamsheerain Na Tadbeerain
Jo Ho Zauq-E-Yaqeen Paida To Kat Jati Hain Zanjeerain
In slavery, neither swords or plans are effective,
But when the taste for certainty is created, then the chains are cut.
Khudi Ka Raazdan Ho Ja, Khuda Ka Tarjuman Ho Ja
You are the secret of creation, see yourself in your eyes;
Share the secret of your own self, become the spokesman of God.
6.) Ye Raaz Kisi Ko Nahin Maloom Ke Momin
Qari Nazar Ata Hai, Haqiqat Mein Hai Quran!
This secret yet none has
Practising rules by it
Mere Darvaish! Khilafat Hai Jahangeer Teri
Your shield be wisdom, be your sword the flaming Love Divine,
My fond dervish! do you not know that all the world is yours?
Undoubtedly, Allama Iqbal was a man ahead of his age, at a time when Muslim's were morally depressed and were suffering from inferiority complex after the fall of the ottoman empire, poems of Iqbal brought a new hope, zeal and vigor in the hearts of the Muslims.
The poet preached that man should first awaken in himself the full consciousness of his God-given powers and then create the desire of pursuing a definite purpose, with the help of those powers, for his own development as well as for the good of humanity.
Truly, Allama Iqbal was one of the example depicting that whenever, the religion of God is attacked either, from within or from outside, God sends men of the hour equipped with the right kind of scholarship and spiritual strength to correct the wrongs of the age and show the way.
Allama Iqbal in the early hours of April 21, 1938 passed away in the arms of his old and devoted servant Ali Baksh.
During the last phase of Iqbal's life he would often recite:
The song that has gone may come again - or may not.
A fresh breeze may come from Hijaz - or may not.
The days of this poor humble man are ended;
Another knower of secrets may come - or may not.
